The running vest with water bottle from Lorymachy impressed us in the test with its well thought-out design and high level of comfort. With a weight of just 228 g and the breathable EVA mesh fabric, it sits comfortably even on longer runs. Two BPA-free 500 ml drinking bottles and compatibility with a 1.5 liter hydration bladder ensure optimum hydration. Six pockets offer plenty of storage space: a waterproof cell phone pocket, a double zippered pocket for the hydration bladder and double-layered side pockets for small items. 10 cm reflective strips at the front and a 28 cm reflective surface at the back increase visibility in the dark. A small drawback: the vest can only be tightened to a certain extent, which makes it less suitable for very slim runners . The plastic packaging could also be replaced with a more environmentally friendly alternative. Overall, the running vest offers a strong overall package of comfort, functionality and safety – ideal for athletes of all abilities, whether on the trail or on the road.

The packaging of the running vest impressed us in the test with its sturdy design and reliable protection of the contents. The vest and accessories were securely stowed in a sturdy cardboard box and additionally shrink-wrapped to prevent damage and soiling during transportation. The protective packaging fulfilled its purpose, but could be optimized by dispensing with the plastic film and using more sustainable materials. The compact size of the packaging, which avoids unnecessary use of space, was a positive feature. A small label with care instructions rounds off the packaging nicely. Overall, the packaging offers a good balance between protection and functionality with potential for more environmentally friendly alternatives.

The first impression of the running vest is consistently positive. The slim design with subtle color accents and reflective elements looks modern and functional. The vest blends in well with various training outfits and increases visibility thanks to the reflective details . The workmanship is of high quality: clean seams, robust materials and precisely positioned zippers. The sturdy construction and reinforced seams ensure that the vest can withstand heavy loads, while the firmly integrated pockets keep the contents securely in place. Lorymachy is committed to sustainability: the drinking bottles supplied are made from BPA-free, recyclable materials – a step in the right direction. All in all, the vest combines attractive design, stability and functionality – with a few small improvements.

The running vest impressed us in the practical test with its low weight, high level of comfort and well thought-out features. The two adjustable chest and hip straps ensured a secure fit, but overall the vest could be a little too wide for very slim runners. During fast movements, the vest wobbled slightly, especially when the filled water bottles were sticking out at the top. The moisture management was excellent: the breathable material reliably wicked away sweat so that the vest remained pleasantly dry even during intensive runs. The pockets offered sufficient space and were easy to reach, and the waterproof cell phone pocket in particular reliably protected the smartphone. The water bottle holder held the water bottles securely, although the slight movement of the water bottle affected the stability of the vest at high speeds. The fasteners were stable and easy to operate, even with sweaty hands. The zippers worked smoothly and reliably without snagging or being stiff. Thanks to its low weight, the vest was comfortable to wear even on long journeys. The weight was well distributed, only the bottle holder could improve the stability further. Overall, the vest offers a good combination of comfort, functionality and lightness. With minor adjustments to the fit and the bottle holder, it would be almost perfect.
